According to ComScore, local search queries consisted of 7% of all searches conducted in the US. That’s about 36 million searches per month. The competition for these localized searches is often much less than for the large global searches. Subsequently search engines, such as Google, are now adding to their marketing efforts advertising campaigns utilizing ads only shown in specific markets. So how do you localize your ads and your website? – simple. Pick local targets from your sponsored ads (if you utilize that service) and attach local or regional qualifiers into your website. Here is an example:
Orlando Website Design Company
Website Design Company Florida
Website Design Company 32803
Website Design Company Orlando, Florida
Website Design Company, Forsyth Rd, Orlando, Florida
Search engines will give strong preference to those pages that include a well laid-out sales page with localized information, over a well laid-out sales page without. If you want to take this one step further, add regional indicators to your website. An example of these regional indicators is :
Located near, Kissimmee, Oviedo, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, etc. or consider using such words as "northern" and "southern."
